A Small Town With Big Mountain Weather
Weaverville sits just north of Asheville along I-26 and US-19/23, with a walkable Main Street and neighborhoods that spread out into the Reems Creek valley and up the surrounding ridges. It feels like a small town, but the weather is pure mountain. Summer storms build fast, winter brings snow and ice to the higher roads, and wind can hit hillside homes with long views pretty hard.
That range of homes calls for a range of approaches. Older houses near the center of town often have steep roofs, chimneys and flashing that has been sealed and resealed over the years. Newer homes on the ridges tend to have big roof planes and complex valleys that need careful detailing. Pablo looks at each roof on its own terms and explains what it actually needs.
Freeze and thaw cycles are tough on a roof. Snow melts during the day, refreezes at the eaves overnight, and water can work its way under shingles. We pay close attention to eaves, valleys and gutters on homes up here. Our shop in Leicester is close by on the northwest side of the county, and we make metal roofing panels and trim right there on our own machine.
Services for Homes in Town and Up the Ridges

Roof Replacement
When patching stops working, we replace the roof with architectural shingles or metal and check the decking, eaves and valleys along the way, the areas that take the most abuse from freeze and thaw.

Roof Repair
Older roofs near downtown often leak at chimneys, vents and tired flashing. We find exactly where water is entering, repair it properly, and let you know if anything else needs watching.

Metal Roofing
Metal sheds snow and rain quickly, a real advantage on hillside homes. We manufacture our panels and trim in-house, so you can choose your color and profile, or buy materials for your own project.

Storm Damage Repair
Fast-building summer storms and winter wind can tear at shingles and drop branches. We inspect the damage, record it in detail with photos, and repair your roof. Share our notes with your insurer if you file.

Gutters
Gutters that sag or clog let melting snow refreeze along the eaves. We install and repair gutters and downspouts so water drains off the roof and away from your home in every season.

Siding
We repair and install siding on older homes and new builds, replacing worn or damaged sections so your walls stay tight against wind and winter moisture.

Weaverville Roofing FAQs
Why do I get ice along my eaves in winter?
When heat from the house melts snow on the roof, the water runs down to the colder eaves and refreezes, forming ice that can back water up under shingles. Poor attic ventilation and clogged gutters make it worse. We look at ventilation, gutter flow and eave details and recommend changes that help water drain off instead of freezing in place.
My house near Main Street is older. Can the roof be repaired, or does it need replacing?
Older homes often have years of patches layered on top of each other, so the answer depends on what is underneath. We check the decking, flashing and condition of the shingles and tell you plainly whether a repair will hold. If replacement makes more sense, we explain why and give you options in shingles and metal.
We have a home on a ridge with long views. Does that change what roof we should get?
It can. Ridge-top homes take more wind than houses in a sheltered valley, and they get full sun and full storms. Careful fastening, good edge details and strong ridge caps matter more up there. Metal roofing holds up very well in those conditions, and we make our own panels so you can choose a color that suits the house.
Does snow cause problems on a metal roof?
Metal sheds snow well, which is one reason it is popular in the mountains. The main thing to plan for is where that snow lands when it slides off, especially over doors, walkways and decks. We can talk through the roof layout during your estimate so it works with how you use your home.
What happens during a free estimate?
Pablo comes to your home, gets on the roof, and checks the shingles or panels, flashing, gutters and anything you have noticed inside. He explains what he sees, then sends a written estimate. It costs nothing, and there is no pressure to decide on the spot.
Do you only install metal roofing, or can I buy it from you?
Both. We install metal roofs, and we also sell the panels and trim we make on our own machine to homeowners and contractors. If you are doing the work yourself, we will help with measurements so your order fits the roof.
