Roofing Contractor Serving Asheville, NC

From older homes near downtown to newer houses on the ridges, we repair, replace and build roofs across the city. Honest advice, a written estimate, and a crew that treats your home like our own.

Roofs That Stand Up to Mountain City Weather

Asheville sits where the French Broad and Swannanoa rivers meet, ringed by the Blue Ridge Mountains, and the roofs here work hard. Afternoon storms roll over the ridges, big hardwoods drop limbs and leaves, and the damp months give moss a head start on shaded slopes. Our shop is a short way up New Leicester Hwy, so the city is home turf for us. We have been roofing around here since 2018, when Pablo Magos started the business as Magos Roofing.

The housing mix keeps us on our toes. Montford, West Asheville and the older streets near downtown are full of homes with steep pitches, chimneys, dormers and layers of past repairs. Newer houses on the edges of town bring wide roof planes and long valleys. Each one needs a different eye. Pablo does the estimates himself, so the person who climbs your roof and explains what he found is the same person who writes your plan.

Hurricane Helene in late September 2024 reminded everyone in the city how much a sound roof matters. Wind, falling trees and days of heavy rain tested every shingle and gutter in town. If your roof came through that season with patches, lifted edges or a leak you have been keeping an eye on, we can take an honest look and tell you whether it needs a repair or a full replacement.

A Roofer Who Lives and Works in the Area

Pablo Magos brings 12 years of hands-on roofing experience to every job, and he still does the estimates himself. You talk to the owner, get a straight answer, and see the plan in writing before any work starts. No pressure and no upselling, just quality craftsmanship and honest communication.

The owner inspects your roof and writes your estimate, so nothing gets lost between the sales pitch and the crew.

We make our own metal roofing panels and trim, which gives you more choice in color and profile.

We only recommend work your roof actually needs, and we explain why in plain language.

Roofing Questions From Asheville Homeowners

Yes. Many homes in the city's older neighborhoods have steep pitches, chimneys, dormers and several generations of repairs. We look closely at how those pieces meet, since most leaks start at flashing and transitions rather than in the open field of shingles. Then we tell you whether a targeted repair will hold or whether the roof is ready to be replaced.

Shade and leaf litter keep a roof damp, which invites moss and algae and wears shingles out early. Leaves and needles also pack into gutters and valleys, so water backs up under the edges. During an inspection we check shaded slopes, valleys and gutters closely and repair what the trees have worn down. Gutters set up for heavy leaf fall help a lot too.

Not at all. Plenty of roofs come through a major storm with damage that did not show right away, like lifted shingles, bent flashing or small punctures from branches. Those spots can let water in slowly for a long time. We inspect the whole roof, record what we find in detail, and give you a written plan for fixing it.

It can be. Metal sheds rain and snow quickly, stands up well to wind, and does not give moss much to hold onto. Because we manufacture our own panels and trim, you can choose from a range of colors and profiles that suit everything from a craftsman bungalow to a modern build. We will tell you honestly if shingles make more sense for your house.

No. Estimates and inspections are free and come with no obligation. Pablo comes out himself, looks over the roof, and puts his recommendation in writing so you can compare it, think it over, and decide on your own schedule. We are open Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Yes. We are one of the few local contractors who manufactures and sells metal roofing materials. Homeowners and contractors can order panels and trim made on our own machine, and we help with measurements and ordering so you get the right amount the first time.
