Your Hometown Roofer in Leicester, NC
This is where Magos Construction started and where our shop still stands. We roof farmhouses, mountain homes and new builds up and down the valley, with honest advice and free estimates.
- Our Home Base
Founded Here, Still Working Here
Pablo Magos started this business in 2018 as Magos Roofing, and our shop is still on New Leicester Hwy. Plenty of the roofs we work on are ones we drive past every day. That keeps us honest. When your neighbor can point at your roof and say who did it, you do the job right, and you tell people the truth about what their home needs.
Leicester is open country northwest of Asheville, with farms, pastures and homes tucked up the coves off NC-63. Many properties sit on slopes with long gravel driveways, and some roofs face the full sweep of wind coming across the valley. Some older farmhouses still wear metal roofs that need new fasteners or new panels, while newer homes on the ridges tend to have architectural shingles that deserve a careful eye after hard storms.
Being this close means something practical too. Our metal roofing panels and trim are made on our own machine right here, so local homeowners can talk with us directly about colors and profiles, and do-it-yourselfers can order materials and get help with measuring. Whether you need a leak found, a new roof put on, or gutters that keep up with mountain rain, you are dealing with a company that lives down the road.
What We Do Around Town

Metal Roofing
Metal roofs suit farmhouses and ridge-top homes out here, shedding rain fast and holding up to valley wind. We make our panels and trim in-house, so you can pick the color and profile instead of settling.

Roof Replacement
When an old roof is past saving, we tear it off, check the decking and install a new shingle or metal roof. You will know exactly what is going on your house before we start.

Roof Repair
Missing shingles, a drip near the chimney, loose fasteners on an older metal roof. We find the source of the problem and fix it properly so it does not come back next season.

Storm Damage Repair
After high wind or hail, we climb up, photograph and record the damage in detail, and repair what the storm broke. That record is yours to pass along to your insurance company if you file.

Gutters
On sloped lots, water has to go somewhere. Properly pitched gutters and downspouts carry rain away from your foundation and keep it from carving ruts down the yard or the driveway.

Siding
We install and repair siding on country homes and newer builds alike, replacing cracked or weathered sections so your walls keep wind and moisture out.

Questions We Hear From Leicester Neighbors
Where exactly is your shop?
Our office and shop are at 2893 New Leicester Hwy. It is where we make our metal roofing panels and trim and where the business has been based since Pablo started it. Shop hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Call ahead at (828) 273-5321 so we can make sure someone is there to help you.
My farmhouse has an old metal roof. Should I repair it or replace it?
It depends on the panels. If the metal is sound and the trouble is loose or worn fasteners, a few rusted spots or failed trim, a repair can buy plenty of time. If panels are rusted through or leaking in many places, replacement usually makes more sense. We will look at it closely and tell you straight which one fits.
My house sits on a slope. Why do my gutters overflow?
On hillside lots, water from a big roof plane comes off fast and can overwhelm small or poorly pitched gutters. Leaves from nearby woods make it worse. We check the size, slope and downspout placement, then repair or replace the system so rain is carried off the roof and away from your foundation instead of spilling over the edge.
Wind comes hard across our valley. What roof holds up best?
Exposed homes in open country need careful fastening and good edge details no matter the material. Metal roofing is a strong choice because the panels are large and firmly secured, and a well-installed architectural shingle roof also performs well. We look at how your house sits on the land and recommend what suits it.
Can I buy metal roofing materials and install them myself?
You can. We sell the panels and trim we make in-house to homeowners and contractors, and since we are local you can talk with us directly about what you need. We will help you measure and work out your order, which saves trips and wasted material.
What does a free estimate include?
A real look at your roof, not a guess from the driveway. Pablo inspects the problem areas, explains what he found, and follows up with a written estimate covering scope and materials. You are under no obligation, and you can take as long as you need to decide.
