- Madison County Roofing
Steep Land, Heavy Rain and Roofs That Have to Hold
Marshall is the county seat of Madison County, set along the French Broad River north of Asheville. The town runs along a narrow strip between the river and the hillside, and the homes around it climb steep ridges and follow winding roads up into the hollows. It is beautiful country, and it is hard on roofs. Rain comes off the mountains in sheets, and shade from dense woods keeps many roofs damp for days.
Hurricane Helene hit this stretch of the French Broad hard in late September 2024, and many families here are still putting homes back together. If your roof was patched in a hurry after the storm, or you have a leak that only shows up in the heaviest rain, we can inspect it carefully and lay out a plan to repair it properly or replace it. We take the time to explain what we find.
Many homes in Madison County are well suited to metal roofing. It sheds rain and snow quickly, handles wind on exposed ridges, and gives moss and leaf litter little to cling to. We manufacture our own metal panels and trim, and our shop in Leicester is not far down the road, so getting materials and a crew out to you is straightforward.
Roofing and Exterior Services in Madison County

Metal Roofing
Metal roofing is a natural fit for steep, wooded mountain properties. We make panels and trim in-house on our own machine, offer custom colors and profiles, and also sell materials to homeowners who want to install it themselves.

Roof Repair
Leaks on mountain homes often start where water runs hardest, at valleys, chimneys and roof-to-wall joints. We trace the water back to its source and repair it so it holds through the next heavy rain.

Storm Damage Repair
When a storm brings down limbs or tears at shingles, we inspect the whole roof, write down and photograph every problem area, and make the repairs. You can hand that record to your insurer.

Roof Replacement
If your roof is past repair, we replace it with new shingles or metal, starting with a close look at the decking underneath. Steep pitches and tight access are part of working up here, and we plan for them.

Gutters
On steep lots, gutters and downspouts decide where all that runoff ends up. We install and repair gutters that carry water away from your foundation and keep it from washing out the hillside.

Siding
Damp, shaded walls wear siding out early. We repair damaged sections and install new siding that helps keep moisture away from the structure of your home.

What Marshall Homeowners Ask About Their Roofs
Our roof was patched in a hurry after a storm. Should we have it looked at again?
It is a good idea. In the days after a big storm, many roofs get whatever fix is available, and some of those patches were never meant to be permanent. Tarps, sealant and hurried shingle work can let water in slowly. We will inspect the patched areas and the rest of the roof and tell you honestly whether a proper repair or a replacement is the better path.
Can you work on a steep roof or a house up a narrow mountain road?
Yes. Steep pitches, tight driveways and limited room to stage materials come with working in the mountains. We look at access during the estimate and plan the job around it, from how materials get delivered to where the crew sets up. If something about your site needs special handling, we will talk it through with you first.
Why does moss grow on the shady side of my roof?
Dense woods and hillsides keep parts of many roofs in shade most of the day, and in our damp climate that means the surface rarely dries out. Moss holds water against shingles and lifts their edges over time. We can repair worn areas, and if you are replacing the roof, metal gives moss far less to hold on to.
Is metal roofing worth it for a home in Madison County?
For a lot of homes out here, yes. Steep slopes, heavy rain, winter snow on the higher roads and plenty of tree cover all favor a roof that sheds water and debris easily. Metal does that well and stands up to wind on the ridges. We make our own panels and trim, so you can choose the profile and color that suits your house.
How much does an estimate cost?
Nothing. We inspect your roof and give you a written estimate free of charge, and you are not committed to anything. Pablo handles the visit personally so you can ask him questions directly and get answers from the person who will plan the job.
If I buy metal roofing from you, will you help me figure out how much I need?
Yes. Measuring and ordering correctly is half the battle with a metal roof, so we help homeowners and contractors work out panel lengths, trim pieces and quantities before anything is made. Everything comes off our own machine, so it is cut for your project.
